About Me

I grew up in a rural area just outside of a small seaside town in Northern Nova Scotia. My fondest memories of growing up would be the time spent with my maternal grandmother and family. As a child I loved spending time in the woods, swimming in the ocean, tending to a garden and interacting with animals. To this day these activities bring me great peace.

My History

A few years ago, I made a promise to myself to finally obtain my Level I Reiki certification which was followed by Level II almost an exact year later. Then amidst the COVID-19 pandemic I obtained my Third Degree Master Level in the Usui Reiki System of Natural Healing. My initial intention was to use Reiki personally and for family and friends. This has evolved into wanting to share the benefits of Reiki by offering healing and in the future teaching, Reiki to others.

Having reached the milestone age of 50, I found myself filled with excitement about the future. It is mind blowing for me to think that I have lived over fifty years on this beautiful planet! Where did the time go? Perhaps it was reaching this special birthday that encouraged me to seek a way of life that promotes peace, light and love. Whatever the catalyst, the Universe will provide you with what you seek. Since then, I have dedicated a lot of time to reacquainting myself to former interests and more importantly to me, myself and I. It has been a healing experience as I reflect on joyful memories from the past and address the old wounds that I have archived deep within me. Whatever the emotion, I acknowledge it and allow it to hold space and then pass through me. We are all a work in progress and that is okay!

The Future

The future, as we know, is always uncertain and I have come to a place in my life where I am excited by the unknown. This is freedom! The possibilities are endless, we just need to take the time within ourselves to visualize where we want to go and what we want to do. I take great solace in knowing that I am loved not only by friends and family but by God (or Source, Creator, whatever reference you choose). I am grateful for those that have graced my life, past and present, as they have all assisted in my growth as a human being.

This blog is a way for me to chronicle my path in an effort to help others seek love and peace in their own lives. I cannot guarantee a quick fix but can offer love and support to those that need it during the good times and the more difficult times. I am reminded of the quote, “All for One and One for All!” – Alexandre Dumas. Love to All!
