Humanity is undergoing great change. For some, these changes can create great discomfort and struggle within themselves. For me personally, whenever I have encountered moments of great change that were heartbreaking and life altering, I worked very hard to embrace the change by connecting with the energy or vibration of Hope. I believe it was Hope that kept me from completely collapsing under moments of extreme emotional discomfort that presented at different points throughout my life.
What is it about Hope that seems to guide us through rocky life events? I decided to explore this further with the intention that it may help others who may be struggling to find Hope. I was inspired by an art print that I have hanging in my home by Carol Robinson. The message,” Hope whispers try one more time” resonates with how Hope feels to me. When faced with profound grief after losing my mother to a brain tumor, Hope was whispering to me. Sometimes the whispers were in the rising sun bringing the promise of a new day or watching the tide roll in and out or in a cuddle from one of my pups. It was Hope that inspired me to get up out of bed and face each day, whatever it would bring.
When I looked up the definition, hope is defined by the Merriam-Webster Dictionary as a desire with an expectation of obtainment or fulfillment. While that seems to fit when one is feeling hope to obtain a goal, the definition did not seem to capture just what hope has meant to me. My next stop was the Oracle and Tarot cards. John Holland’s The Psychic Tarot speaks of Hope as wish fulfillment. “That the impossible can indeed become the possible. The force that works through your soul – determining what’s possible and the difference between success over failure, and above all, who we are – is the power of your belief.” Colette Baron-Reid’s The Good Tarot depicts Hope as the Star card. Its message, “I am hopeful and inspired by life right now, and everything that is happening points to a renewed sense of encouragement. After all the changes I have experienced, I’m starting to recognize the hope that comes with new beginnings.” The card descriptions were certainly more robust than the dictionary’s definition and brought me closer to what I believe Hope represents for me.
The Mystical Wisdom Deck has a card called the Angel of Miracles. The description under the title reads, Open Your Heart and Expect a Miracle. This card speaks of the gifts and miracles Angels bestow upon us, a bird, butterfly, a flower blossom. The Angels are constantly sending signs to us, letting us know that they are with us. The Angels are there to assist us during life changes, comforting us to the next stage of our journey. Anything is possible with Angels, so you can expect a positive outcome knowing that the Angels have heard your prayers. The mantra with this card is: “I believe in miracles”.
I recently came across a gifted Channeler and Spiritual Teacher, among many other great pursuits, by the name of Tricia Carr. Low and behold in her collection of videos and podcasts, she had a meditation entitled: “Hope Frequency, Heart Activation”. In the introduction to the meditation Tricia speaks about the magnetic frequency of Hope and that it is complimentary to gratitude. Hope is opening your heart and pulling towards you, unconditionally and positively, abundance. Tricia’s message resonated with me, and I wanted to include the link to her channeled message here:
Hope is the whispers to keep trying, to see the beauty that surrounds us despite the chaos, to believe that anything is possible. Hope resides in each and every one of us. Some of us just need to get reacquainted with Hope. Perhaps there is someone in your life that needs to feel the energy of Hope. Perhaps Hope comes to them through your whispers of encouragement, your whispers to keep trying, your whispers that they are loved and supported. With an open heart we can achieve magic!
