Full Moon in Sagittarius with a Lunar Eclipse

On Wednesday, May 26, 2021 we will be experiencing a Super Full Moon in Sagittarius with a Lunar Eclipse. What does this mean?  An Eclipse brings change, and a full moon generates emotional release so when combined we can be certain to experience some amplification of feelings.  To get ready for this experience, I thought I would ask Spirit for some guidance on how to make the best of this opportunity.  To celebrate the change that an eclipse ushers in I took 5 decks, a mix of oracle and tarot cards and drew 5 cards with a little surprise on the last draw, a curve ball.  That was the first message, to expect the unexpected and not try to control outcomes.

The Decks used are: Mystical Shaman Oracle, Divine Animals Oracle, Mystical Wisdom, The Good Tarot and The Psychic Tarot. The cards were #13 The Crow, #8 Sea Turtle (Stability), Creative Wonderment (Follow your Passion), 2 of Air, #7 Choose Wisely.  Those were the 5 cards, but the curve ball was a second card came out with #7 Choose Wisely, it was #7 Deception and Envy.  Yes, we are seeing some shadow aspects with this Full moon but that is okay.  Our shadows are also a part of our make-up so let’s embrace it all.   I always like to look at the card at the bottom of the deck and I am going to include them here because the messages are flowing right along, as if medicine to assist with this time of change.

The Crow is the keeper of truth and invites us to speak and practice truth. Correct what is untrue in your life and set yourself free. To me the Crow is the perfect Animal Spirit for a full moon lunar eclipse event! Sea Turtle brings a message of stability and resilience. Sea Turtle speaks of approaching a situation by accepting the helping hand of another, like hitching a ride on a current.   Creative Wonderment is all about following your passion, whether that is cooking, photography, writing or art.  This is an act of self-love, to follow your passion and do what makes your heart sing.

2 of Air (Swords) speaks of stalemates, uncertainty, considering options. Those moments in time where it seems to stand still are moments of necessary pause.  When you can sit back and reflect on the direction you want to travel.  When you take your time and remain peaceful, the answer for the highest good will come to you. #7 Choose Wisely which is the 7 of Cups in traditional tarot, represents too many choices, scattered energies and unrealistic expectations. Again, the message is about taking the time you need to analyze your options, do not be pressured by external forces.  You are in control and responsible for the choices you make.

The Good Tarot by Colette Baron-Reid

As I sit back and read this, I can’t help but think that for many this is all about career.  Then the curve ball hit me, #7 Deception & Envy, could it be a hint about how we see others fulfilling their wildest dreams, yet we are stuck?  The description references that individuals or conditions are not what they appear. “You have worked hard; do not let others take from you what is rightly yours.  Unfortunately, some people may be envious of your accomplishments.  The other meaning is that unexpected events or changes can occur, or plans may not go as expected.  Prepare and have a plan B.”  Sometimes, we attract situations because there is a lesson to be learned, perhaps the curve ball card becomes an opportunity for our own shadow work, asking questions of ourselves. For example, why do I feel envious about that person who appears to be living the life of royalty? Or, is the way I fixate on my lack preventing me from stretching my wings and making changes to my life where I ignite the creativity and passion within me? This exercise may bring up some emotions so please be gentle with yourselves.

As I mentioned earlier, the bottom cards bring some messages which I feel can offer some assistance as we move through the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse. The messages seem to suggest that helping hand that Sea Turtle suggested. Card #4 Beauty Way,” is both a path that you travel on and a daily practice. The path is where you choose to perceive only beauty before you, behind you, and all around you as journey through life. The practice is where you take action to bring beauty to every situation you are in. When things get ugly, you act to bring integrity and peace to the difficult encounter. When everyone else perceives only darkness, you point out the light and help uncover the hidden treasures. The Beauty Way invites you to create beauty in your life and to recognize the beauty inside yourself and in others. See the beauty in whatever situation you find yourself in, and you will receive the lesson that life is teaching you in a kind and gentle way.”

Card #10 Elephant (Leadership) speaks of the time to step forward and lead. This time is now. If you want something achieved, take the lead yourself.  Lead by example, by inspiration and not force. Elephant magic is powerful yet calm.  This magic can help you to overcome obstacles or move out of a limbo situation. Could this be the antidote to the curve ball card?

I was channeling my Inner Child the other evening when I decided to make some home-made notes of added wisdom.

Resilience (Rise Above Tribulations) comes next with a message to endure and face life’s adversities with courage and patience. Hold compassion, determination, and strength in your focus. The 4 of Water (Cups) represents dreaming and introspection, contemplation, trusting in the abundance of opportunities. A lull in action offers time to dream bigger, plans that take an unexpected turn require trust and patience as something greater awaits.  Allow sadness and disappointment to flow through and know that everything happens in perfect timing and divine order.  Another number 4 surfaces, Rest and Rejuvenate which speaks of taking time to heal, to meditate, to be with your soul. Allowing space just for your reflection is both needed and long overdue. By taking this time you can look at the situation instead of being in it. It is a chance to stand back, view your life with clarity (with the help of Crow Spirit) and start envisioning a healthier, stronger foundation, enabling you to take the next step.

Interesting how the last card references truth and the first card out is all about truth.  Perhaps, this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse will be an unveiling of truths for us all.  I also drew 2 cards from a homemade deck I have been playing with to see what crystal/stone and plant medicine may be helpful at this time.  The crystal is carnelian which ties in with the Creative Wonderment card, as it enhances creativity, emotional warmth, harmony, self-esteem, and rebirth.  The Carnelian is a great stone for the sacral chakra which I feel will be highlighted during this full moon lunar eclipse. Marjoram was the plant drawn and it enhances balance, mental clarity, and an open heart.  If you don’t have marjoram essential oil but have it in the kitchen, why not cook with it tomorrow?  To summarize, start something creative, be gentle with yourselves and others, look for the helping hands along the way and take time to be with your soul. Be the light in the dark room! Namaste!
